Anse Mamin

Anse Mamin is a small black sand beach in Saint Lucia. It is located near Anse Chastanet and the two beaches are linked by a rocky path below the cliffs. This dreamy enclave of golden sand edges a gently curved cove that’s about a 10-minute walk north of Anse Chastanet, or about 30 minutes from town.

Church of the Assumption

An imposing Catholic Church looming over the Soufrière town square. Stunning building in the heart of town. Gorgeous architecture, beautiful stain glass windows. This is a must see if you are in town. Beautiful singing at Sunday mass in this historic church.

Morne Coubaril Estate

Overlooking Soufriere Bay, Morne Coubaril Estate is a popular stop on the tourist circuit. The estate is an elegant working plantation growing cocoa, coconuts, and manioc. Ziplining in view of the Pitons is the most adventurous activity on offer, but guests can also enjoy guided tours of the plantation, its tropical gardens, and a replica of a traditional village. Guides demonstrate the processing of coconut for food products and show how sugar cane syrup, cocoa, coffee, and manioc are produced. After the tour, guests can enjoy Creole food at the plantation’s restaurant.

St. Lucia Rain Forest

Gros Islet Street Party

 It lies north of Castries, the capital of Saint Lucia, and features the Friday Night Street Party which is its major tourist attraction. Also known as the jump-up, the Friday Night Street Party encompasses several blocks, which have to be informally cordoned off with the stalls of street vendors. Steamed fish, barbecue chicken and St. Lucia’s own Piton beer can be purchased from these vendors. Music can be heard through the old fishing village, and locals and tourist both dance in a central cross section in the small streets to the sounds of calypso, zouk, reggae and R&B. 

Pitons

The Pitons are two volcanic plugs in a World Heritage Site in St. Lucia, linked by the Piton Mitan ridge. The two Piton Mountains are the most photographed landmark on the island. The larger of these two volcanic plugs is called the Gros Piton, while the other is the Petit Piton.The Pitons are a famous tourist attractions for hikers and mountain climbers in St. Lucia. These mountains are located near the towns of Soufrière and Choiseul on the southwestern coast of St. Lucia. Located at the top of the Piton Mitan Ridge is the Ladera Hotel which offers a view over Piton bay. 

Sulphur Springs

Soufriere Volcano in St. Lucia is considered as the only “drive-in” volcano in the world! It is locally known as the Sulphur Springs. Now a major tourist attraction in St. Lucia, the road runs right up to and through the crater of the volcano, which emits steam and sulfur with boiling mud and water bubbling away just a few meters from the tourists. Be prepared for the smell of rotten eggs!
